Hey there! I'm Beth, aka Flutterbest, the person behind "Flutterbest Freelance."

I'm a US based artist fueled mostly by puns and pasta. The former, along with other great humor, can be seen in a lot of my personal art. The latter less so, which is a shame. But outside of these jokes I also have a few (slightly) more serious projects in the works.

This includes: "Waffles on Monday" an rpg project from Goodnight Bear Studios, "Tales of Obscure Sorrows" a collection of short stories and poetry about a young duo's emotions during their first possible romance, and more!

I've been taking on commissions for over three years. Even when it was just a hobby, I always wanted to make the most out of each order.

A client's vision is important to me. My own nerdy history has lended me a good feel for tone (as well as an absolute willingness to dive into several different topics like anime, gaming, mythology, etc.). So whether it's reading your original character's full bio to make sure their gesture looks just right in a drawing or looking through lore dumps and inspiration boards to nail the atmosphere of a story—I'll try my best to go above and beyond in bringing your idea to life.

This mission stands strong for commissions large and small. So if your idea is as simple as "I want a headshot of this OC," or as complicated as a 100 page comic script, that's 100% fine by me.

ORDERING
When ordering, please use the form. This will provide me with the information needed to give estimations.

Only contact me through the methods listed here (Email, Twitter, Instagram, DeviantArt). I will not give personal contacts; however, I can provide other means of communication (Discord, Skype) once an agreement has been reached on commercial and/or long term work.

Once I review the order I will send an estimate for the price and waiting time.

I retain the right to refuse any order I feel uncomfortable with.

PAYMENT
After both parties have agreed to a price, I will request the buyer's PayPal address and send an invoice for 30% of the payment.* The buyer can also choose to pay more or entirely upfront.

Once the initial invoice is paid I will start working on the sketch for the commission. After the buyer's satisfaction with the sketch is confirmed I will send a second invoice for the remainder of the payment (if applicable). Until that invoice is paid I will not continue work on the commission.

After the final product is delivered, I will only make small corrections (such as stray marks and coloring mistakes). Larger edits will need to be paid for.

*Full upfront payment, rather than the 30% prepay, is required for sketch-only orders.

REFUNDS
I do not do refunds past the sketching stage. Throughout the process of creating a commission I will be sending updates and confirming the buyer's satisfaction. Therefore, refunds shouldn't be needed.

If the buyer has not gotten any updates on the sketch when they request a refund a full refund will be given. If the buyer has been given an update on the sketch they will be given only a partial refund.

Otherwise, a refund will only be considered in certain circumstances.

Please note if the buyer is given a refund, they do not retain any rights over the in progress commission image(s). However, if a buyer decides they would only like the sketch rather than continuing with the full original order they may contact me and discuss what the remaining balance (if any) would be.

USAGE
The commissioned work is only intended for the buyer's personal use. They may not use it commercially unless both parties (the buyer and I) have agreed and the additional commercial usage fees have been paid. If you are unsure whether something falls under personal or commercial use, please contact me.

The buyer is not permitted to claim credit for the artwork. They may not remove any watermarks or signatures. They may not edit it nor have another entity edit it without my explicit permission and knowledge of the edit planned.

I own the rights to the commissioned work and may use the artwork as I wish. This does not mean I claim the rights to any characters, locations, or concepts depicted in the artwork unless otherwise specified.

If you'd like the artwork to remain private, meaning I won't post it, please discuss this with me. Also let me know if you'd like me to delay posting the artwork until a certain date.

FRAMING: Headshot, Half Body, or Full Body
FINISH LEVEL: Sketch, Lineart, Flats, or Full Color
BACKGROUND/PROP: (Y/N) If yes, please describe and specify level of detail you would like for it. (Reference images can also be put in place of description)
DEADLINE: (Y/N) If yes, provide date. Only fill if there is a strict deadline. Typically wait times are 2-3 weeks.
USAGE: (Commericial/Personal) If commercial or unsure, please specify what you plan to use it for.
